Abstract: | Organisms have been continuously exposed to radiation since time immemorial. Radiation is the process of release of energetic particles or energy or waves from unstable nuclei. Radiation can be classified into ionizing and non-ionizing radiation. As the name indicated, ionizing radiation refers to the type of radiation with sufficiently high energy which has the capability to ionize atom. Non-ionizing radiations are that with lower energy sufficient only to change the rotational, vibrational or electron valence configurations of atoms. In this work, we draw more attention to ionizing radiation |
