Abstract: L.Z.Sailo was the son of a Mizo chief, Liankanglova of&#xD;
Sialhawk, who joined the IAMC during the Second World War at&#xD;
an early age on 21st November 1941. He was promoted to Captain&#xD;
in 1960 while he was in Africa. His loving wife died sometime in&#xD;
1947, and he married Miss June Cynthia Penn, an Anglo-Indian.&#xD;
L.Z.Sailo was a well known Mizo prose writer, song-writer,&#xD;
novelist, social activist – cum-freelance journalist who had made&#xD;
outstanding contributions during the last 30years as an independent&#xD;
crusader for national interrelation, preaching the gospel of harmony,&#xD;
especially among the ethnic groups of Mizo living in different states&#xD;
of North East India, through his songs, articles, essays and prosefictions.</description>
